Argyle sweater day! The day after Thanksgiving! While the rest of the country is lining up to shop, my family has a leisurely lunch and goes to our favourite local bookshop for a good book, maybe a cocoa after and we wear argyle sweaters, because we’re stylish.

Having a little extra sunlight in the evenings this week is making my studio a might lovelier place to sit and sew, and to snap a few pictures.
This month, McIntosh & Burke is being featured at MEW + Company in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Mary, the M in MEW, sent me these pictures of their gorgeous display.
We just got back from Iceland and Sweden. Two trips to Iceland in a year might be slightly insane but I can't stay away from the yarn. This time I came prepared with long lists of what colours and weights I needed for which sweaters and got some of these gorgeous light weight wools to knit tiny hats and scarves for tiny animals. It's still September but I'm already turning to grown up sweaters and tiny hats for animals. Combined with a magical trip to the Josef Frank shop in Stockholm and my crafting to do list is full.
